We were masses of water, or masses of sound. We did not know.
Our skin, that shared surface, served us as a connector of space. Along the way, always following a paramagnetic direction, our membranes softened, dissolving slowly.
In the birth register, we were the children of the fusion of the Earth’s mantle. Elsewhere, they named us Maria, like the lunar seas. Several of our parents had becomes Earthlings throught migration. After an interstellar journey, they settled in this world of sound where words did not exist.
SiO2 was discreet within these constructions, with their hexagonal system of cellular tissues. They arrived on Earth via the asteroid 2815, Soma. They were called Nepheline, always tilted at 5,7° relative to the Earth’s inclination, which marked their origins. At other times, SiO2 blended so completely with its creation that it then became Tholeiite and populated the oceanic arcs. Passing from the feldspathoid type to MORB, being naturelly both, an hermaphroditic architect.
Like sonospheric beings, each of our particles of life became again a cell of this limitless organism.

Twenty-six seconds was the time it took for the fluid circulating throught the networks of fractal fractures beneath this ocean floor, to emite a shared pulsation beneath our skin of earth.
Listening to it, our environment had bacome spongy. The resonance bubble no longer echoed in the same way. Sounds were absorbed farther away. The deafening waves had disappeared. We were swimming in sound, being this vast fluid body.
